After 4 successful years in publishing at Conde Nast, Olivia re-focussed her career and went to KLC School of Design. After graduating at the top of her class with a diploma in Interior Design & Decoration she joined Taylor Howes. Following three rewarding years at the company, working on and subsequently running a number of prestigious developments & high end private residential projects in Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Chelsea & Hampstead she took the next step & founded Olivia Shaw Interiors.

Betty Betinson

From a very early age, Betty wanted to work in interior design. After graduating with a distinction from KLC School of Design she joined the team at Taylor Howes where she spent many successful years and swiftly rose through the ranks to become Associate Director. During her time there she ran countless prominent high end projects for private clients & developers throughout the UK. She was also one of the lead designers on the company’s first lighting collection. In 2014 she left to pursue another ambition – having a family.

Having worked together and formed a great friendship at Taylor Howes it only seemed natural that Betty would be the person Olivia would turn to for help with her ongoing projects during her maternity leave. A last minute informal arrangement became a solid business partnership upon Olivia’s return to work in 2015 – it made complete sense that they should combine their creative talents. Betty’s strong eye for proportion and love of fabrics always ensure a balanced and cohesive scheme for any interior. She loves working with clients and creating unpretentious spaces that create an essence of home for them. Olivia has a natural flair for interiors and with her attention to detail and passion to deliver finely honed projects, she always meets the expectations and individual requirements of the client. Together they combine their background in luxury design with more rustic elements in order to achieve an effortless and beautifully fused style that bridges the gap between town & country - a style not only suited to more urban dwellings, but one that sits equally well in rural spaces. Emphasis is placed on the function of space as well as aesthetics in order to ensure an exquisite design that is tailored to the specific way in which each client wants to live.
